Interior Design
I think that interior design has a big impact on people's lives because what something looks like has a very big impact on your personality. It’s the same with your clothes. You feel like you have to have nice things to make people like you or to make yourself feel better about your life. The way your house is painted can affect your mood and that basically is your personality. “The choices that you make when deciding how your home will look have a documented effect on your emotions and perceptions. The color of the walls in your kitchen might be contributing to your anxiety and your brand of couch could lead others to assume that you’re standoffish.” Tara Mastroeni stated in a Fresh Home article. Even Interior Design helps with big corporations. Since colors changes your mood, your decision on working there could have been ruined because of the way the room is laid out or if it has the right shade of paint, no one can sit in a dark room and feel like they can get things done.
What Economic Class has the best Interior design? Interior design has a big effect on your emotions, blue tones and brown tones make you feel sad. Do people with a higher Economic Class have better sense of design or do they throw things together because they don't have time? Do people with a low Economic Class, care more about what their house looks like or do they not care because they don’t have the money? People are often afraid to show things in their lives because they feel like people would read them in a different way, or treat them better or worse. There are always two types of kids. If a kid grew up in a community and home where everything was nice than they would be accustomed to showing of, but if a kid didn't grow up in that sort of community than they would be more analytical and shy.
I think that Gender has a lot to do with the design of our everyday lives when you are growing up, like your room. Boys have been socialized to be manly and have everything be one solid color, everything to be dull. It makes kids not want to express who they are as children and adults, and that's the same with girls. There expected to follow the requirements of what their families expectations are. If they don't follow the expectations it’s a big deal, you're different and people don't like change. “Women generally are more open to exploring brighter colors and patterns and having fun with the space, Men tend to gravitate toward larger, more masculine furniture pieces, particularly those incorporating leather and wood details.” Explained Trip in a MYDOMAIN Article. People think that people don't care about if your home is aesthetically pleasing, but in reality people notice the difference.
Religion plays the biggest role in the way that you house is set up, dependant on what religion you are categorized in. With catholicism the way things are setup contributes greatly to your beliefs. You have to set certain things in your house a certain way so you are not disrespecting your culture. In china a way of showing your graces is to show even more respect with laying out your home in Feng Shui. Feng Shui in translating means wind-water. “Feng shui translates as wind-water and is an ancient Chinese discipline whose philosophy can be traced back several thousands of years. Feng shui first came into existence from the early time of people settling to farm animals and grow crops. It was initially used to identify safe dwelling places where families would be able to flourish and to determine the best burial sites for relatives.” States The Feng Shui Society. It also states “The practice of feng shui remained an integral part of Chinese culture.” Religion takes a huge space of your entire way of living even your houses.
As a result, people's thought on how interior design doesn't affect the way you were socialized, think about everything you have seen in your house and other people's houses and relate that to your family. Does that affect the way you were thinking? Interior design has a bigger impact on your life than you're letting on, it changes your personality, the way you think and the way you will think for the rest of your lives. Your entire personality could be based or altered off of one paint color in your room. It could change what you do to sustain you or your family, it could potentially shape your life.
