SOCIALIZATION AND MASK PROJECT
In this project we started off with learning about the basics of socialization. We also learned about the cycle of socialization. Once we began to build background knowledge about this topic we started to think about all of the different ways to write an essay and which topic we wanted to write about. At first I wanted to write about a time in my life that taught me what socialization was, but I ended writing an informational essay on Interior Design. After we were very confident in the way our essays were being written we began to explore different ways to make our Masks exciting. In our class we didn't have to relate our Mask Essay to our Masks. We spent more time working on our Masks than our Essays because we wanted our Masks to look refined for when we showed them at our Exhibition. We were done with our Masks and Essays pretty fast and that's when we moved onto the actual Exhibition. We started to gather all of the things we learned and incorporate them into a huge Exhibition that would show what we learned. We ended up doing The Maze of Socialization. We teamed up in groups to build the rooms of our assigned cyle. Overall, I really enjoyed the process and end result of this project because it allowed me to go deeper into what I already knew and I will definitely apply that into further projects.

Project reflection
In this project I grew as a writer because I learned that I could write an essay on a topic that was very interesting to me and what I like to do. I learned that not all essays have to follow the guidelines. I always thought that if I wrote an essay that was long and had a lot of long details that it would be an A+ essay, but I was wrong. I now know that in the future if I am not interested in the topic I’m writing about I’m never going to be proud of the work that I had done and I am never going to try writing good essays. My essays would have been long and boring that is written on a subject that no one would want to read.
One of the largest takeaways from this project is that I really got to look at people's different perspectives and views on how everything that is happening whether it be racism or politics. I learned this from the Precious Knowledge documentary, that all of the different perspectives in our community and around the world have an impact on the different school systems. Also what other people think about other different racial ethnicities attending the school have completely changed the way I look at the school system and the way people are treated.
One of my goals as a group worker is that I wanted to read and analyze the information that had been given to me. In this project I managed to achieve this by making sure that I annotate what I was reading it to further my groups understanding about the process and information for this exhibition. We didn’t read or use worksheets for the last part of this project so my goal was only half accomplished. I still feel like the information that me and my group contributed was a huge help the the final product of the entire exhibition, but mostly our room. In the end of this project I think I could've done more to reach my final goal and could have made this exhibition better.
What I did for this exhibition was design our assigned rooms to transform our school into a maze of socialization. I feel like I contributed to my group by making sure everything goes smoothly helping build the room ad get any further materials that we could have needed. At the actual exhibition I didn't really stick to my beginning job. At the exhibition I ended up greeting people and making sure that everyone in the actual exhibition like actors were okay. If I could grade myself on this I would give myself an A- because I feel like I was helpful but I didn't so much stick to my attended job and my group was probably very confused.
